Background: Burchell's Mother "was originally sculpted for a private estate. This bronze sculpture of the Plains or Burchell's Zebra is ten inches tall from the base. Meticulous research, including hours of painstaking chemical staining from petina artists, went into making this sculpture as accurate as possible. All petinas will be of the same quality as the sculpture shown. However, because individual zebras have different stripe patterns, similar to fingerprints,the petina process on each casting will have it's own unique stripe pattern. This sculpture is limited to a run of thirty bronze castings.
