Details: Prognathodon currii / Israel 1/35th scale.

Background: Prognathodon was a gigantic blunt skulled mosasaur. It was named in honor of Dr. Phil Currie, the famous dinosaur paleontologist. This Prognathodon's only remains were found in Israel, and include a complete five foot crushed skull and several neck vertebra. It's total body length is unknown, but conservatively was over 45 feet. Prognathodon currii was first described in The Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, volume 22, Number 3, September, 2002. This sculpture comes in one piece, with a seperate base in the shape of the modern state of Israel.
